A while ago, I heard a talk about Google Blogger. Apparently, it is a blogging service similar to Blogger but for online readers only. There is no need to sign in to Blogger. It has its own interface and is more user friendly than Blogger.
Description: Blogger is an American online blog- publishing service which enables multi-user blog posts with time- stamped timestamps. It was launched by Pyra Labs, who was initially purchased by Google in 2003. The new blogs are normally hosted by Google and usually accessed via a subdomain of the main blogspot. To sign up for Google Blogger, follow these steps.
First, go to the Google Blogger home page and click on the “Sign Up now” icon at the top right corner. You will be directed to a page with a link to sign in. Once you have signed in, you will see a page with a dashboard. The dashboard contains a design section where you can choose a color theme, logo and fonts. The design section also contains a color picker, along with several different sample text effects.
What is Google Blogger?
The blog setup area contains a Layout Section, a Contact List, Search Form, Blog Options and an About Me section. You can easily customize your blog layout by editing any of these areas. You can create your own layout by changing the colour scheme and adding a logo if you wish. If you wish to switch back to the blog dashboard, you can simply switch to the layout editor.
If you are creating a blog using the Google Blogger template editor, you need to add content to the blog by using the text area editor. One thing you might want to keep in mind is that the Google Blogger system does not support the use of image attachments. This means that you cannot upload images from your digital camera to your blog. To add images, you will need to use the image attachment feature on your Google Blogger blog administration area, or use the image uploaders provided on the Google website. You will also find text boxes for text effects, like fonts, and buttons for editing your RSS Feeds, polls, and blog posts.
You will need to activate the Google Blogger plug-in to be able to use Google AdSense on your blog. This is a very easy step. Go to plug-ins in Google Blogger, and then click on the activate button found beneath the profile box. Then click the Create New Blog button. You will see a blank blog in the page that will prompt you to fill in your personal information.
Professional and Usefull Tips
The next step is to sign up for a Google account. Your Google account will allow you to create a new website with a URL that you can specify through the site customization tools on the main page of your Google Blogger site. In order to create a blog on the Google Blogger platform, you will need to have a username and password.
Now, you are ready to login to your blog site and read your blog from the blog button that you clicked on earlier. The Google Blogger site will prompt you to add a blog entry. You can type in any text you would like to include in your blog entry, and then save the entry as a blog post. Your blog will then show up in the list of blog entries, and you will be able to see it in the main index page.
